My Workspace, a company specializing in business space, announced on the 19th that its coworking space My Workspace Tower branch has been registered as a incubating space designated by TIPS operator in 2022 and 2023 as well.
The Wells Investment and Bliss Vine Ventures, which established a consortium with My Workspace and applied to the operator, were finally selected in the '2022 Second Half of 2022 New Tips Operator Selection Result' announced by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups on the 14th. The shared office space at the Workspace Tower branch has been registered as a business incubation space for startups.
The My Workspace Tower Branch, a nursery space selected by the TIPS operator, allows companies selected for TIPS to use the government subsidy for rent when moving in, and the selected companies can utilize various facilities within My Workspace.
TIPS (Tech Incubator Program for Startup) is a privately-led technology start-up support project by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, and is a government program that intensively nurtures promising start-ups by designating a private venture fostering institution (accelerator) as a ‘TIPS operator’. TIPS selected companies can receive R&D funds of up to 500 million won and commercialization and overseas marketing support of up to 700 million won from the government.
Ron Yang, Vice President of My Workspace, said, “Due to the lack of space in the existing Tipstown, operators directly secure space for the companies they support or support companies have to pay for office rent. We have joined hands,” he said. “We will provide active support to lower the rental burden of startups with insufficient initial capital together with the operator, so we ask for a lot of interest from TIPS selected companies.”
